People use too much water on plants when not needed, especially when they don’t know how much water to use. There are many native plant in California that are easy to maintain and require minimal water. The idea is show people how much water can be saved if people are aware of these plants. And because of that we created an app as our called Plant Busters

Our app main purpose is to show which plants require less water such as native California plants and drought tolerant plants. Since 40% of our water resources in California are spent on irrigation and a typically family use about 57% of their daily water consumption in landscaping. We see see this a a huge issue and hope this app can help educate people in being water wise
The app will have a rating system created by our team to show people if the plants in their garden use an minimall or excessive amount of water. It will also have a list of the top native plants in California that consume minimal water and are easy to maintain. You can also find a list of some of the worst plants to have that use up an unnecessary amount of water as well as other negative effects on our water system. Other tabs will define the difference between native and non-native plants, an explanation of our rating system, and a tab with extra benefits of having native plants in your garden. We project the app to be available to download very soon and hope this helps improve this problem in the human water cycle.
